The Wave

[EN]Arizona was a state of surprises. First and the biggest surprise was that we won the lottery and could visit The Wave. It was amazing!!! Yes, the lottery happens in Utah, but the actual Wave is in Arizona. :) Secondly we visited Grand Canyon and it blew us away. We expected something grand, but were not sure how much hype there is and how much of it actually is grand. Turns out it’s quite grand. :) Also we tested our and Astrid’s limits, taking on some difficult trails, and in both cases, it was great experience and fun times! :)

:)[EN] Everybody happy and ready for 27km day hike down the South Kaibab and up the Bright Angel trail. Together with awesome folks – Dace and Raivis. :)

[EN] We have said it before and will say it again, people are the ones who make our adventure interesting. Before beginning our trip we really wanted to visit Overland Journal/Expedition Portal and see how things happen at Overland HQ. We were really thrilled when we got invited, as it was one of our little dreams that came true. It was true pleasure to meet Scott Brady, his lovely wife Stephanie and the strong and vibrant team that stands behind Overland Journal/Expedition Portal. We are truly thankful for the opportunity given to us and for the hospitality we received!
